After an exhausting couple of days the plan today was to chill a little. It's now 6.30pm and we are back in the room fed, watered and dead on our feet so I guess the plan has worked. The day started at 7 o'clock this morning, sounds okay but we didn't get to bed till after 2, so it's not that great. Was still feeling tired so no run this morning instead it's a bowl of fruit with yogurt followed by toast.
We haven't been to Gatorland for a few years so decide to give it a go. It's Julie's turn to drive but we are late setting off due to some satnav disfunction but we arrive at the park not long after 10 and after about 15 minutes we are into the park.
It's proper old school Florida and we thoroughly enjoy the walk around and a few shows. Julie's not so impressed by the birds and there are a few close calls . The jumparoo is a real treat but it's the natural feel of the park and the fact that it's a million miles from the traditional theme parks that really set it aside. We see some fairly impressive beasts and we are done by about 1pm, so we have killed a good half day

Once we are done with the gators and their pals then we head back to the hotel where I have a can of monster to keep me going, a few pringles and then we set of for a walk to Disney Springs. It takes about 30 minutes and we successfully negotiate all of the roads without major incident. Disney Springs is absolutely lifting when compared to Gatorland so although we spend about an hour there it's just too busy to enjoy so we leave without any purchases
It's a long walk back and on the way we decide we are so tired that we may as well stop somewhere for tea, and Se Dog is on the way home. It's a micro brewery that's also a restaurant so fits the bill well. First up is beer and I opt for a sampler of 4 IPA's, most are over 5.5% and the Mango and Tangerine are the clear winners. Julie tries the Blueberry Ale, which actually contains 7 blueberries - verdict cracking brews !!
The food is good too we start with Nachos and I have the crab filled haddock , while Julie has the scallops, we finish up with the first Key Lime of the holiday. We limp and waddle back to the room where we settle in for the night after an exhausting couple of days
