Thursday, our last day in Disney, Saturday sitting at home and Orlando is shutting it's door to all visitors on Sunday, quite a shock, and heart goes out to all of those affected by the virus, those sick , those who have saved for a once in a lifetime holiday, and those people who could potentially lose their job and who knows what else !! Maybe the lady of doom and gloom at the steak house wasn't so crazy after all !! Makes you appreciate what you have
Well back to Thursday, the packing doesn't take too long, although the weight of the cases is a little bit of a concern, my bid for an upgrade on the return flight hasn't come through and so we are stuck in economy, and both cases are marginally over the 23kg limit. Hopefully we get a sympathetic lady at check-i.
Check in is at Disney Springs, it opens at 8.15 but Julie doesn't quite manage to be ready for that, never the less we are at the desk by about 9.00, and there is no problem with the cases, yes, they are both over, but only be 1kg or so and so we escape without an up-charge. The wonderfully kind lady also tells us that there is no-one in the seat next to us - hope it stays that way

The park is busy but as usual we get things done, we do a far bit of walking around to make sure we have got as many of the topiaries as we can find. Turns out we missed some rather large ones, Mickey and Minnie and Donald and Daisy !! No-one significant, and the largest of all the displays so it took some doing 👀👀
We do Spaceship Earth, definitely for the last time before it goes down for 2 years, there is a 40 minute wait which we bypass with the fast pass, and then we go into the standby line for Mission Space, which seems really intense today, I don't get motion sick on this ride but the G forces are really at play today. We take in the EPCOT experience again and boy Disney does have big plans for this park, none more so than Guardians of the Galaxy which looks to have the largest real estate space of any ride I have seen - it looks huge. We pop into the land pavilion for a boat ride through Living with the Land and pick up a spot of lunch, where Julie gets the biggest chicken sandwich in the world and doesn't quite manage to eat it all - I'm a little more conservative, knowing that food had a deter-mental effect on my health during flights !
Pretty soon though it's time for the final ride of the holiday on Test Track and although we do toy with stopping a little longer, we know we have access to the executive lounge (first time at Orlando airport), so I'm keen to get the car back and get a drink down my neck . So it's the short walk to the car park and the journey home sadly begins.

It's a straightforward and uneventful drive to the airport which takes about 1/2 hr, this puts us in the airport for about 2.30 when we have a 7 pm flight. Officially we can't access the lounge until 3 hours before the flight but we decide to chance our arm. We negotiate security without issue, catch the monorail across to departures and then have the best experience I have ever had at a lounge. Well worth the $40 fee.
All drinks are included as well as a decent choice of hot and cold food. It's a little full but we manage to get 2 armchairs together and the time flies by. I start with wine, then move onto Jack Daniels before also noticing that they have Jai Alai - This is heaven 😊😊 I'm so happy I could cry !
We get our money's worth and I am fairly relaxed boarding our flight, it's a good job that the lounge is AFTER security. There is no-one in the seat next to us, which actually turns out to be more of a perk than flying Premium. I have a couple of glasses of wine on board, but no food, and then get a good 4-5 hours uninterrupted sleep and I'm annoyed when the lights come on and they begin serving breakfast.
Landing is smooth and we are through customs very quickly, although my passport can't be read by the machine so I am diverted to a real customs officer but no problem and we are quickly into the car (parked at the airport's Meet and Greet area), and then after some confusion on how to get out of Manchester it's a straightforward, boring and tiring drive home. And we are back at about 10.15
What a great holiday !! , next up another trip to Africa
