Well it certainly hasn't gone to plan, and there have been a few issues and unforeseen expenses (hotels and cameras) but it's been a cracking holiday and today it ends !! Wish we had managed to get to the keys but if you go to Florida in the hurricane season you run the risks !
3 things I know for use with the journey home
Indigestion - I will eat and drink too much pre flight and have an uncomfortable journey home
I won't sleep
It will be a long long day before we get back to Consett
Everything was more or less done yesterday to prepare for today, our flight isn't until 8pm so we have plenty of time to fit a full day in, and we plan to. The car is locked and loaded by 8am, and we take a short drive to bell services where we deposit our rather heavy bags for the day and ensure that we will be able to use the hotel facilities once we have checked out and then it's off to put 5 dollars of gas into the car to make sure we make it to the airport and then Hollywood Studios for park opening.
The sandal police have been monitoring this blog so they will be pleased to note that both pairs of our Lord's sandals were deposited in the resort refuse system this morning and will no longer appear in any future blogs !!
Because the park has so little open the queues are substantial when we make our decision to leave and head out for lunch at Bahama Breeze. We have very slow service, which is unusual, but we are in no hurry so no worries. We overeat (a theme on this holiday) and have time to spare so decide to go for a walk around Disney Springs. We have absolutely no room left in our luggage so shopping is out of the question, although Julie does manage to buy 1 more "bargain"
Feeling a little less bloated it's back to the resort for a quick shower, to get us ready for the airport and the flight home
7 hours later we land at Dublin, have a breakfast, wait for 4 hours, board a flight back to Newcastle (thankfully without the masses of stag/hen do's that we have had in the past), jump into the car and back to Consett.
Holiday over - bring on South Africa !!
